CDA Credential Readiness for High School Juniors and Seniors

TIPS JumpStart Program for High School Students
 

This course is designed for High School Juniors and Seniors interested in working with children 0-5 years old currently enrolled in a  Vocational, Cyber and/or Charter School. The course is an Enriched Virtual Course integrated with theory, child development best practices and practical strategies. Course work is provided using today's classroom technology, intentional teaching practices, and flipped learning techniques to aid high school students through successful use of online learning tools. Each program includes: Instructor led instruction webinar, live interaction, mock interview, portfolio help and test prep. Students graduate high school with CDA Credential, 6 College Credits*, 480 apprentices clock hours, background check, work force readiness with competence and qualification to work in Center or Family Child Care Programs with referral.

Enrolling in this course will provide your high school student with our hands-on, innovative class for students of every background. Our qualified and experienced teachers serve as facilitators of the learning process. Instead of simply lecturing, they guide students by helping to make sense of course materials, encouraging them to ask questions and explore solutions, and promoting the use of resources outside of the classroom.

This plan offers College Prep courses for individuals seeking College Credits. Plan includes the basic plan plus a dedicated support person available for you and/or your center with an individualized action plan to fit. This plan is designed to meet the need of the individual provider(s) based on personal timeline and goals as a result of a full needs assessment including:

  • ability to retain information to meet projected goals

  • 1 on 1 Weekly Consultation Available

  • 120 Hours in less than 30 Sessions with College Prep and Academic Readiness indicators

  • OWL Writing Lab via EduLab™

CDA Competence Statement Assistance -

(Sessions arranged on an hourly basis)

Our coaches help identify areas of improvement where additional writing support may be needed. Our company identifies when statements are plagiarized and support candidates in creating unique statements based on instructional, resources and expertise. (included in each package).

 

12 Session Online Readiness Programs for Junior and Seniors in High School

Enriched Virtual Classes are for those students who want a weekly live session with other students, and for students or agencies who want more accountability and firm assignment due dates. A microphone, and stable Internet connection are required for these courses.

With Enriched Virtual Classes You Receive:

Earn 6 College Credit Courses

Early Childhood Field Experience (or Early Childhood Elective Credit) 

(3 credits, lower division level) 
This course provides the student with practical experience in environments for young children, birth to age five. The experience affords the student the opportunity to become familiar with and demonstrate the principles and practices of early childhood. Hands-on instruction in working with children birth to age five.

Introduction to Working With Young Children

(3 credits, lower division level)
This course exposes students to competencies required in the implementation of sound environments for young children, birth to age five. The course introduces content in the following areas: planning a safe and healthy learning environment, supporting development in physical, cognitive, language and social/ emotional areas; developing relationships with-in families; program management; professionalism; observation and recording information about children; and the principles of child development and learning. Hands-on instruction in working with children birth to age five.

Pre-School CDA Credential

TIPS JumpStart Support program aids Pre-School Teachers in meeting teacher criteria of CDA Credential in less time than a traditional CDA Training Program.  This is a live instructor lead webinar based program geared towards supporting teachers hired to provide high quality programs. Course content supports collaboration readiness, implementation of activities, Developmentally Appropriate Practice and NAEYC Overview along with the basic understanding of Head Start history and standards.  Program options: Enriched Virtual Classes, Blended Learning

Infant Toddler Credential

TIPS JumpStart Support program aids Infant Toddler Teachers in meeting teacher criteria of CDA Credential in less time than a traditional CDA Training Program.  This is a live instructor lead webinar based program geared towards teachers hired for EHS CCP and Expansion Programs. Course content supports collaboration readiness, implementation of activities, Developmentally Appropriate Practice and NAEYC Overview along with the basic understanding of Head Start history and standards.

Family Child Care Credential
