CDA  JumpStart Support Program

In 2017 our CDA JumpStart Program was cross-walked by the the CDA and the Council for Professional Recognition, TIPS CDA JumpStart Program has been assessed for the alignment of the CDA criteria.  Our TIPS courses are integrated with theory, child development best practices and practical strategies to support competence, work force development and Head Start Readiness. Course work is provided using today's classroom technology, intentional teaching practices, and adult learning techniques to aid providers through successful use of online learning tools. Each program includes: Instructor led instruction (Enriched Virtual Classes or on-site) live interaction with instructor, coach and assessor, mock demonstration tools, portfolio help and test prep*.

Enrolling in this course will provide participants with our hands-on, innovative class for students of every background. Our qualified and experienced teachers serve as facilitators of the learning process. Instead of simply lecturing, they guide students by helping to make sense of course materials, encouraging them to ask questions and explore solutions, and promoting the use of resources outside of the classroom.

 

Enriched Virtual Classes are for those students who want a weekly live session with other students, and for students or agencies who want more accountability and firm assignment due dates. A microphone, and stable Internet connection are required for these courses.

This plan offers College Prep courses for individuals seeking College Credits. Plan includes the basic plan plus a dedicated support person available for you and/or your center with an individualized action plan to fit. This plan is designed to meet the need of the individual provider(s) based on personal timeline and goals as a result of a full needs assessment including:

CDA Competence Statement Assistance -

(Sessions arranged on an hourly basis)

Our coaches help identify areas of improvement where additional writing support may be needed. Our company identifies when statements are plagiarized and support candidates create unique statements based on instructional, resources and expertise. (included in each package).

Earn College Credit

Early Childhood Field Experience (or Early Childhood Elective Credit) 

(3 credits, lower division level) 
This course provides the student with practical experience in environments for young children, birth to age five. The experience affords the student the opportunity to become familiar with and demonstrate the principles and practices of early childhood. Hands-on instruction in working with children birth to age five.

Introduction to Working With Young Children

(3 credits, lower division level)
This course exposes students to competencies required in the implementation of sound environments for young children, birth to age five. The course introduces content in the following areas: planning a safe and healthy learning environment, supporting development in physical, cognitive, language and social/ emotional areas; developing relationships with-in families; program management; professionalism; observation and recording information about children; and the principles of child development and learning. Hands-on instruction in working with children birth to age five.

Home Visitor CDA Credential (Urgent Need Options Available)

Enroll in this course, our hands-on, innovative online CDA Training Program for adult learners of every background. Our qualified and experienced teachers serve as facilitators of the learning process. This is a low tech live instructional course, guiding early childhood professionals by helping to make sense of course materials that support multi-age groups and developmentally appropriate practices.  This course encourages them to ask questions and explore solutions as practitioners, and promoting the use of resources outside of the classroom.

This course will guide students through the foundations of the subject and beyond. Students apply their newly developed skills within a learning environment that is challenging and demands their active participation. The result is a group of inspired and proficient individuals with a drive for learning and a motivation to succeed.

Course includes field assignments, evidence of course work implemented and weekly interaction.

TIPS JumpStart Support program aids School Age Professionals in meeting teacher criteria of CDA Credential in less time than a traditional CDA Training Program.  This is a live instructor lead webinar based program geared towards supporting teachers hired to provide high quality programs. Course content supports collaboration readiness, implementation of activities, Developmentally Appropriate Practice and NAEYC Overview along with the basic understanding of Operation Military Kids history, military competence,  and school age standards. Head Start CCP EHS  (Urgent Need Options Available)

TIPS JumpStart Support program aids EHS CCP New Hires in meeting teacher criteria of CDA Credential in less time than a traditional CDA Training Program.  This is a live instructor lead webinar based program geared towards teachers hired for CCP and Expansion Programs. Course content supports collaboration readiness, implementation of activities, Developmentally Appropriate Practice and NAEYC Overview along with the basic understanding of Head Start history and standards.
